Google confirmed back in September 2016 that Android Wear 2.0 was launching sometime in 2017 but were non-committal to an actual release date.
While Google are still not committing to an actual release, a recent leak based on emails sent to Google Play Developers suggests that Android Wear 2.0 is set to arrive in early February 2017.
The email is a general notification to inform developers that they will need to update their apps where necessary to support the new version. Consequently the likelihood of a February launch is pretty solid.
Google has confirmed that it aims to release two new smartwatches to debut with Android Wear 2.0, so it seems we’ll see something coming up in the next month or so.
